Restaurants & Bars
Enjoy 3-5 star dining at some spectacular local restaurants utilising the best and freshest local produce. In no particular order we love
Muse - 5 star the whole way and 2 SMH Hats say it all. Troy Rhoades-Brown sets the gold standard.
The Deck - is where we go for Breakfast and they have just opened for Tapas in the evenings. Matt Dillow and his team do an amazing job here.
EXP - Frank & Emma Fawkner have built this little gem from scratch and now to the trip Adviser rankings. We know why. Come and find out.
HQ - Hunters Quarter is the new boy/girl on the block. We love its view over the ranges and elegant tasty food in good size portions.
Oiishi - is where us and half the Hunter Valley end up on a Friday night for tasty and inexpensive Thai & Japanese. The Massaman Beef wins.
Goldfish Bar - is a natural meeting point for people wanting upmarket bar food and a place to relax before or after a day in the vineyards.
Margan - Just a short trip out of Pokolbin but well worth the visit. A focus on locally grown produce (you should see their market garden) is this iconic Restaurant which achieved a Chef hat in his first year.
Baume - located at Ben Ean - formerly Lindemans is becoming sooooo popular you now have to book. Big plates, Fab Pizzas + buy your wine at Cellar Door pirces and bring it in.
Ironbark Hill - has been a Hermitage Road favourite for a while and now has thre fanciest Pizza Oven in the Valley and the best Pizzas. They tick all the food groups. Beer, Wine, Pizza.
Bistro Molines - Last but far from least is the Godfather of the Hunter Restaurant Scene. Robbie Molines has the BEST place for a lazy lunch = End of story.
